Paul’s quest for the best fish and chips never ends

Let me tell you the quick story about the time Tara tried to convince Paul (who, mind you, in a giant snob for fish and chips) that she found the BEST fish and chips she’s ever had. We went to a rustic little bar/restaurant in PBC where she beam with excitement for him to try it.

After a quick happy hour cheers to C&M’s anniversary, it was time to order this infamous fish and chips. Our orders arrived and Tara and I both watched carefully as he took his first bite (creepy, yea whatever – I really was rooting for Tara’s recommendation). I knew immediately on his first chew he wasn’t impressed, and I braced for a Gordon Ramsey style, soul-crushing review. He was surprisingly nice about it but definitely marked this place off his list of “need to go to” in PCB.

Tara (and Paul) spent a lot of time of the next week in search of a fish-centric redemption. Much to Tara’s delight, after an afternoon of touring condos, we found it. And, it was in what could be their “back yard” some day! Their local tiki hut had some of the best grouper bites I’ve ever tasted. Delicious. And Gordon… er, Paul was also satisfied – only “satisfied” because they were tasty and he wanted more.

Here’s a collage of some of the Florida fare we’ve enjoyed over the last few weeks…. And, funny enough, I didn't get ONE of Paul's many fish n' chips. Anyways, happy drooling!
